Eric Williamson

Hi, I'm Eric, I use he/him/his pronouns and I am the general music teacher at PS 32 the Samuel Mills Sprole school in Brooklyn, NY. I have been a member of Proud Educators since 2019. This affinity group is special because it is the only space in New York City where LGBTQ+ educators can come together unapologetically to support and learn from each other across disciplines. I am passionate about furthering the presence of proud educators in NYC and beyond! Queer teachers are pivotal figures in education not only for the students and communities we serve, but our colleagues as well. Outside of Proud Educators, I am the Artistic Director of Lavender Light: the Black and People of All Colors Lesbian and Gay Gospel Choir, the first Queer Gospel Choir in the world, established in 1985.
